
Pertamina EP Cepu Zone 12, in collaboration with SKK Migas, held a Public Lecture on the Upstream Oil and Gas Industry on Tuesday, November 12, 2024. This activity was attended by students from various universities, including students from STIEKIA Bojonegoro, who were specifically invited to gain direct insights into the oil and gas industry.
Carrying the theme "The Role of the Upstream Oil and Gas Industry in Supporting National Energy Security," this public lecture aimed to introduce business processes in the upstream oil and gas sector, ranging from exploration and production to its contribution to the Indonesian economy. Speakers from SKK Migas and Pertamina EP Cepu Zone 12 presented various technical aspects, operational challenges in the field, and the importance of competent human resources in the energy sector.
The participation of STIEKIA students in this activity served as a valuable opportunity to broaden their horizons regarding the oil and gas industry and to directly understand the competency requirements needed by the sector. This activity also opened a space for interactive discussion between students and industry professionals, which is expected to motivate students to continue improving themselves and preparing for the workforce.
The public lecture concluded with a group photo session as a form of appreciation for the participants' enthusiasm. Through this activity, Pertamina EP Cepu and SKK Migas hope to continue building synergy with the education sector in shaping a young generation ready to contribute to the national energy sector.
