Sekolah Tinggi Ilmu Ekonomi Cendekia Bojonegoro (STIEKIA) established a partnership with Bank Mandiri Bojonegoro through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Tuesday, October 20, 2026. This activity was combined with a Financial Management guest lecture themed “Improving Financial Literacy and Inclusion: Financially Savvy from an Early Age” as an effort to increase students' understanding of the importance of wise financial management.
The activity was opened by the Vice Chairman III for Student Affairs, Alumni, and Cooperation of STIEKIA, Ahmad Saifurriza Effasa, S.HI., M.M. The event was also attended by the Branch Manager of Bank Mandiri KCP Bojonegoro, Irma Nuryana, who also served as a speaker in the guest lecture.
The signing of this MoU is a strategic step for STIEKIA in strengthening institutional relations with the banking world, especially in supporting the implementation of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education and broadening students' insights into financial practices in the world of work.
Through the guest lecture, students had the opportunity to understand more about financial literacy and inclusion, including the importance of building habits of managing finances responsibly from a young age. This understanding is expected to be a provision for students in making the right financial decisions, both for personal needs and future planning.
Bank Mandiri's involvement in this activity is also a form of synergy between higher education and the banking sector in providing financial education to the younger generation. This collaboration is expected to bring students closer to the development of the financial industry and increase their readiness in facing future economic challenges.
The cooperation between STIEKIA and Bank Mandiri Bojonegoro is expected not to stop at the signing of the memorandum of understanding, but to continue through various collaborative programs that provide real benefits to the academic community.
Through this activity, STIEKIA continues to strive to present learning that is relevant to the needs of the world of work while encouraging the birth of a young generation that has good knowledge, skills, and financial awareness.
